Golden Brick, London Borough of Hounslow Councillors and Lampton Staff holding a sign to celebrate

Lampton Homes and Hounslow Council have celebrated a key milestone in the New Road Triangle development. The Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat with Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment and Transport Strategy, Cllr Katherine Dunne and Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Operational Services, Cllr Guy Lambert joined Lampton Group Managing Director Craig Cooper and Lampton Homes Managing Director Kerry Kyriacou to celebrate the completion of ground floor level works at Hounslow’s New Road Triangle development in Feltham. They were also joined at the site for the special celebration by local ward councillors, Cllr Samina Nagra, Cllr Muhammad Akram and Cllr Kuldeep Tak.

With completion scheduled for 2024, the New Road Triangle development comprises 176 new homes, 124 of which will be social rent homes for Hounslow with 52 homes to be retained by Lampton Homes and allocated to key workers of Hounslow.

New Road Triangle is being developed in partnership with Lampton Homes, part of Hounslow Council’s wholly owned company Lampton Group, and EcoWorld London, a private development company.  It is being developed on half a hectare of land, owned by the London Borough of Hounslow and previously occupied by Network Rail. The development will comprise two residential buildings with one 14-storey building of 98 new homes will sit along the western site boundary by Longford River, and one 11-storey building of 78 new homes will run east to west along New Road.

“One of our key priorities as a council is the delivery of high quality affordable and social housing and the New Road Triangle development will provide much needed homes for the community while supporting the Council tackling the housing crisis.  We are delighted to see the progress on site and look forward to continuing our work with EcoWorld London and Lampton Homes to deliver this important project” – Leader of Hounslow Council, Councillor Shantanu Rajawat

Sustainability and biodiversity are at the heart of this new development. A 70% carbon reduction is achieved through air source heat pumps, solar panels and energy efficient building materials. The design includes new landscaping, native planting including 43 new trees and green roofs increasing the on-site biodiversity by 50%. The development will extend the nature corridor of the adjoining River Longford and create a safe new link to the Glebelands playing fields.

“We are delighted to mark this milestone in the delivery of New Road Triangle. This ambitious project will not only help the London Borough of Hounslow achieve its affordable housing growth but will help provide a range of homes for local people.  This exemplar development highlights our commitment to supporting Hounslow in delivering their strategic objectives and goals.” – Craig Cooper, Lampton Group Managing Director,
