Key worker renting elibility
Lampton Homes is focused on providing good quality and affordable housing for key workers. Through our scheme, run in London Borough of Hounslow, we have a growing portfolio of excellent homes available for key workers.
We welcome applications from all key workers that meet our criteria.
Our key worker properties are let on a 2-year fixed term assured shorthold tenancy. Your tenancy can be renewed providing you remain a key worker and comply with the terms of your tenancy agreement.
To be eligible for key worker housing, you need to meet the following conditions.
- Applicants must work for an approved employer Household income must not exceed £70,000 per year
- Employees must have at least 5 years to serve before reaching retirement
- Applicants must have UK citizenship or indefinite leave to remain
- Applicants must be in permanent employment (although some temporary workers with at least 6 months remaining on their contract can be considered)
- Applicants cannot own a property Applicants must have good credit history
To be eligible for the scheme you are required to fall into one of the following categories of key worker organisation or employment:
- London NHS
- London Local Authority Teachers
- London Fire Brigade
- London Ambulance Service
- Metropolitan and City Police
- Transport for London
- Houses of Parliament
- HM Prison and Probation Service
- Ex-Serviceperson (within 24 months of completion of service)
